An Moonen is an Independent Antique Textile Historian residing in Westervoort, The Netherlands.

She has established this website to share her  specific knowledge amongst textile enthusiasts worldwide.

She is a member of the ICOM (International Council of Museums) and participates with their Costume Committee [CC].

An is doing research on the following subjects:
Dutch quilt history and Antique Dutch quilts.

At the moment she is planning to make a new book on this particular history, with new found material, new found antique quilts and archive material.

Antique Dutch samplers and Darning samplers. She is going to give a lecture and workshops at the Historic Deerfield Museum [MA, USA] about this subject next September 2005.

An is also working on the history of corded quilting. She will try to make a publication about it from Dutch museum collections later.
